Fox yelped in suprise and pain and struggled, growing slitly weaker evry time. Dappledpaw rushed up and swipped both paws at it's muzzle, which turned smoothed and bright red. The fox's snarl wasn't only a chalange now, but sounded like a plee. She ncouldn't give in, but her heart flickered but she kept it down as she rushed to it's side and clawed franticly into the sclarlet and brown-flecked fur, she feel it's ribs under her claws. ALmost no fat kept the skin from the fox's ribs, poor little guy, starving and so young . . . She growled to herself and growled inwardly, "Your pretecting the Clan, Dapledpaw, the fox could kill kits!" Leapinng up to it's tail she bite down hard, it had now weakened enough to show it's stregnth was seeping out it's blood.

Lilypaw paused and turned when she heard hisses and yowls. What was happening? Rushing to help, she almost rammed straight into an orange creature. It was small for a fox, and the fur on her spine stood up. They must be quarreling with the male! Lilypaw considered running, but couldn't finish the thought before the she-fox jumped at her, snarling. Lilypaw batted at it, keeping it's jaws a hair away from her. What could she do? The others were all on the Male, she was sure. The she-fox seemed so much more stealthy than the male, though! How could she be so silent, yet so ready to kill? With a heave of strength from somewhere she didn't know, she shoved the fox off of her. It hurt to breathe, but she kept ehr eyes on the fox. She was skin and bones! Almost like a walking corpse, no wonder the couple had attacked the group of cats! Distracted, the fox took a nip at her, getting her front paw good. Lilypaw struggled to wrench it free, but the fox had a good grip with her teeth.
Lilypaw kept from calling out in pain, and raked a scratch across the she-fox's face. Lilypaw could have fainted with relief when the fox let go of her paw, but shoved the black away from the sides of her vision. She had to drive this fox off of the territory!
There was no need, though. The she-fox ran off, a scratch to remember SplashClan by. Lilypaw had only the strength to limp back to the clearing and make sure the male was taken care of. Seeing all apprentices alert, she let out a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding, and collapsed into the blackness at the corners of her vision.

Dappledpaw finally came out of her trance as Darkpaw kept his claws tight on the Fox. this fox was getting ambushed quiet hard, he didn't realize that there was another coming at them until Lilypaw came and attacked it, Darkpaw could see from the corner of his deep blue eyes that she was getting beaten pretty bad. But in the long run she made the fox speed away with made him grin. Focusing his attentions back on this fox he slid his back claws down it's back making it yelp in pain, Dappledpaw was latched onto it tail, he jumped off as gracefully as he could manage, nipping at the fox's heels., the fox's paw came and batted him in the head, making a scratch form on his cheek, he felt the warm blood trickle down his cheek, now he was mad. he rushed up and slammed his head into the fox's stomach, making it gasp aloud. He could tell the fox was backing up a little, he was about to run, and he was gonna make sure it would. He looked back towards the clearing and saw Lilypaw, on the ground. His breath caught in his throat as he looked back at Dappledpaw, he was pretty sure she could take it by herself seeing as it doesn't have much strength left. He nodded to her and continued in battle, he felt the adrenaline pulsing through him as he swiped at the fox's nose, making it gush with blood, this fox hasn't heard the last of him.

Dappledpaw struggled up onto his haunches, but the fox was just to tired of her. It bucked her off and flew away, sctratching on it's tail to get ahold, but only fell, a fox-lenght away. She got up, but she had landed on her backleg, which felt bruised and and well, hurt. She got up and tried to limp toward the fox, but she knew she would be no help, so she, instead, raced over to Lillypaw and layed down, licking the wounds she could she with small yet long gentle strokes.
