oh, hello there [rain only]

Foxstrike pounced on the tiny mouse, quickly snapping its neck. It felt good to be able to catch prey for himself, now that he was done hunting for the clan. Foxstrike went over to a nice soft patch of moss and layed down to eat. He was just about to take his first bite of mouse when he heard a rustling in the bushes. Foxstrike was taken by surprise at who stood before him. "Oh, hello there." Foxstrike mewed quietly.

With a yowl from the bushes, A she-cat leapt out, onto Foxstrike as he was laying down. Her dark solid gray fur was fluffed up in mock anger, as her paws hit Foxstrike. "Can't get away, Splashclan dirt bag!!" The Stormclan cat snarled playfully, cuffing the ginger tom around the ears. Mistybrook smiled, pinning the tom down to the ground. "What's new with you?"

Foxstrike luaghed quietly "Nothing much Mistybrook. Just about to eat some prey." Then he playfully batted her ear. Foxstrike was quite fond of the feisty she-cat, she always knows when to make Foxstrike smile. Foxstrike heaved Mistybrook off of himself and leapt upwards. He crouched and sprang at Mistybrook. He missed on purpose though and picked up his prey He then sprinted a little ways away from the mossy patch he was sitting on and looked at Mstybrook. She's so beautiful in this light... Foxstrike shook his head trying to dislodge that thought, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance at getting Mistybrook to like him. She was to far out of his league. Foxstrike pushed the moyse forward a little bit and mewed "Would you like to share?"

Mistybrook narrowed her eyes. Did he think she couldn't catch her own prey? "No thanks, I can catch my own." Mistybrook mewed a bit dryly. She had eaten a vole not much earlier anyways. Even though the prey was in heavy quantities now, she wasn't going to stuff herself.

As soon as the words had left his mouth, Foxstrike knew he had made a huge mistake. "Oh, okay..." Foxstrike mewed awkwardly. As he layed down to eat the mouse he casually asked "So, what's new with you lately?" Mistybrook didn't always exactly broadcast what she was doing all the time, so the question wasn't always stupid. However as Foxstrike was eating and waiting for a response, he couldn't help beat himself up inside.

[Rain]

"Talking to you." Mistybrook replied simply, with a hint of sass in her voice as if it was obvious all along. Which it clearly was. Her nose scented the air for a trace of prey, but none was there. "Hey, Foxstrike, want to have some fun? I'm in the mood for a nice plump Splashclan mouse. The prey over there is plump and juicy all the time. Want to come?"

Foxstrike hesitated but one look at Mistybrook made up his mind. "Sure!" Foxstrike mewed excitedly. He lept up and rushed to Mistybrook's side. He could feel the exileration of what they were about to do, and if they were caught the would be dead meat. However the consiquences barely crossed his mind as he thought about what they would do once they got to wherever Mistybrook was taking them. He couldn't wait.

[Rain]

Mistybrook smiled as Foxstrike got and stood next to her, and her bounded off. The soft green grass was warm from the sun, and prey would definality be running today. As the gray Stormclan cat reached the border leading into Splashclan territory, she crossed without a doubt. Worse thing that could happen was that a Splashclan cat found them. So what? It's not like Cloudstar could make them stay in their boundries.

Foxstrike followed without a second thought. He reached the border as soon as Mistybrook was running across. He bolted after her, afriad to lose her. Meanwhile he was sniffing the air for prey and other cats, as well as listening for them. Even though he knew they shouldn't be there, he didn't want to leave. Something about being here with Mistybrook made him fearless. He followed and as he was running he caught the scent of vole. He called to Mistybrook softly "I've got something..." He didn't want to alert the vole or any cats nearby. He stopped and rolled in some garlic to disguise his scent and flicked his tail for Mistybrook to do the same.

[Rain]

Mistybrook laughed as Foxstrike indictated for her to roll in garlic. As if! "I'm not getting in that smelly stuff." She mewed, running off ahead. A bird called in alert as she crashed through a bush, and she found a little stream. "I wonder if there's any fish in here." Mistybrook mewed, looking into the water.

Foxstrike sighed, he had tried to diguise their scent, however he had known that Mistybrook wouldn't have tried to. Foxstrike ran after her and almost colided with her, as she sudenly stopped infront if a small stream. He backed up a little bit and mewed breathlessly " What's the hold up? I don't smell any vole...isn't that what you want?" Foxstrike was thoroughly confused.

[Rain]

"I want to see if there's any fish, keep your pelt on." Mistybrook snapped. Some little minnows swam across quickly, but no bigger fish. Too bad. With a snort of amusement, Mistybrook jumepd over, her back paws splashing in the cold water.

"Sorry..." Foxstrike mewed queitly, then bonded ater her his pelt hetting srpayed with icy water. Then he caught the scent of a vole nearby. He stopped and flicked his tail telling Mistynbrook he found something.

Mistybrook ignored Foxstrike, even though she could scent the vole too. "I want to go see the big willow trees. Rowanfall was telling me about them at the gathering, they are huge!! I wish we had some on Stormclan territory." And with that, the gray she-cat was off again, bounding through the grass. "Come on Foxstrike!" She called.

Foxstrike ignored the vole completely after Mistybrook was off again. He shoot through the bushes after her. She is amazing. he thought as he followed her through the enemy territory. Even though he knew the willow trees would be beautiful , he knew nothing or any other she-cat would compare to Mistybrook. He only hoped that a moment would arrive were she would let some of her guard down and be open with him, then maybe he could find out how she fely about him or he could tell her his feelings...Foxstrike shook his head, he knew that would be extremely hard even if the moment arrived when he could. Then Foxstrike focused again on where Mistybrook was running while weaving between the undergrowth.
