Sorrelstar padded into the open moors, the wind thrashed against her back and whipping around her face. She just shrugged it off, Breezeclan cats don't get bothered by wind, their coats are thick from living on the mores, but they have to keep their fur tame and sleek so they can catch prey fast. Sorrelstar was still getting used to being leader, after Spottedstar died she had no idea how to comfort the clan, but somehow she managed to pull through. Her thoughts swirled as she sat down and waited for her apprentice, Smokepaw. he was almost ready to be a warrior, and today was the day she would send him off by himself, to see what he has. Of course she will be watching him throughout the who thing, she wanted to see what her apprentice has learned these past 6 moons.

Smokepaw padded across the moorland going to meet his mentor and leader Sorrelstar. He paaded around and sat down by a rock were he was suposed to meet Sorrelstar. He liked having Sorrelstar as his leader, she knew just what to say and when to say it. He also liked having her as his mentor because she was good at teaching him things then anyother cat in the clan. He was getting a little hungry, but he knew that he should hunt for the clan first so he sniffed the air. He caught the scent of a small rabbit. Smokepaw stalked and pounced on the young rabbit. He killed it with a swift blow to the neck. He carried the small rabbit back to the meeting place, and began grooming himself while waiting for his leader.

Sorrelstar watched Smokepaw not to far away as he stalked his prey. he wasn't doing to bad, she kenw he'd make a great warrior for Breezclan. She padded up Smokepaw after he hunted his rabbit and nodded her head, "You did great Smokepaw! now, today is the day that you show me what you got. i'm going to send you on a hunting espedition, i'll expect you to collect 5 peices of prey, and remember i'll be watching you the whole time, so don't think you'll get away with anything." she smiled at her apprentice and sniffed the air, prey was everywhere, mainly because it was a beautiful day and the animals come out to collect their daily food. "I'll be watching, now off you go." she grinned and dipped her head, "Best of luck to you."

Smokepaw nodded to Sorrelstar and bounded off into the moor, leaving the rabbit for his mentor. Smokepaw sniffed the air and started stalking another rabbit. He soon caught up to it and pounced, breaking its neck before it could make a sound. He burried it quickly and then went to stalk a nice,plump, mouse. He crept towards it but his foot snapped a twig. The mouse started to leap forward, but Smokepaw srang and neatly caught it between his paws. He killed it with a bite to the neck. He burried it and went on. Smokepaw looked near the honeysuckle bushes and caught a small vole. It managed to skwak before he could kill it, so he had to move back near the rabbit holes. Smokepaw stepped lightly as he stalked another mouse. He moved silently around untill he could strike. Smokepaw sprang forward leathily. He caught the mouse quite nicely between his paws and swiftly killed it. He then went back with it to collect the rest of his prey.
