A beautiful gray she-cat stepped forward her amber eyes blazing with love and cold, hard truth. "Starclan, the time has come, yet again, when every medicine cat comes to us, to share dreams. Tonight. I wish you not to send a dream to this she-cat." Pointing her tail to the water, a beautiful gray tabby she-cat was walking beside a brown tabby tom. "Her path is hard to see, and we must study, what we can before we send her another message. I ask you to also, leave these cats alone." Glancing at the cat's who were family. A black and white she-cat, a light ginger tom and a white and gray she-ct appeared. All sleeping, in different dens. "Each have a path that will push their loyaty. Two shall fall in love, One will die, and the last will never notice the pain he is causing." The blue gray she-cat meowed. Than softly a kit appeared. "But Bluetear, I must speak to them. They are in great danger!" The kit's voice was soft, strong and ferice. Every cat in Starclan broke apart. Leaving the kit alone. "But they are...." The kit whispered.

Chapter One
Riversong

I studied my herb supply, I knew I was running low on three things, Margold, Cobwebs and Poppy seeds. My nose held high, I gently placed my paws on the wall, that covered my supply den, and I looked at my jumiper berries. "Yep, Running low on that too." I purred softly, and with my eyes burning deep into the supply that was left, I heard a gently voice from behind me. "What are you running low on?" Seastorm, a blue gray tom with golden amber eyes purred. I turned towards him and flickered my tail and meowed. "Cobwebs, Poppyseeds, and margold. And Now jumiper berries." I meowed. Turning I went on too look at my other supply, Catnip was low, but it was still pretty good. "Would you mind if I come with you?" Seastorm's golden eyes locked mine and I sweetly smiled and nodded. "Of course Seastorm! I need all your help." I meowed. Seastorm's eyes lit up and he purred gently. "Here would you mind, getting Gingerpaw to come?" I asked, not feeling safe around Seastorm. I have know since we were both apprentice Seastorm has crushed on me. Seastorm looked heart-broken, at another failed try at getting close to me. He disappeared and when he returned Gingerpaw's eyes were lit up and she meowed. "You want me to come with you!" I nodded. We headed out.

We hunted for those herbs, and even Seastorm, seemed to keep his golden eyes off me and on little Gingerpaw. I couldn't help but purr. Atleast he was getting over me. As we traveled back with fresh-kill and herbs. I looked at the cobwebs stuck to our pelts, the margold, and Seastorm carring the poppyseeds. I nearly yowled at him when he dropped the poppyseeds on the ground. We were almost home, when I spotted Petalstar trotting towards us, her eyes wide with worry. Dropping the herbs in my jaws I looked at Petalstar and meowed. "What's wrong?!" Petalstar, didn't answer only went on walking, towards the SplashClan border. I stared at Seastorm and Gingerpaw, and meowed. "Gingerpaw can you bring these to my den, you too Seastorm, you know where they go, both of you right?" They nodded and I raced after Petalstar. My eyes were alert for anything that might pounce out at me. Than I heard two cats fighting my heart started racing. I turned around a burnt tree. There was Petalstar and Cloudstar, locked in battle, Dreamsong was sitting aside watching, blinking softly. "You know better to stay out of my busniess Petalstar!" Cloudstar's voice rang out. Dreamsong seemed to be stuck with words. That's when Rowanfall, a tabby brown medicine cat stepped in and knocked Petalstar away. Petalstar's eyes widen and she turned tails and ran. Pasted Me, and she never noticed me. I golped and watched Cloudstar and Rowanfall fight. Than it fit me. Rowanfall, was more in likely watching longer than me. But as I watched I notice a deep scratch on his side, his breathing was very loud. Dreamsong yowled. "No Cloudstar STOP!" I yowled in fear, and that's when Cloudstar let go of Rowanfall and stepped towards my clan's border. I turned and ran for home.

Chapter Two
Minnowpaw

I was just getting out of camp. My heart was racing and my eyes were closed. I didn't care if I tripped, my mind was going to be in a far off land. Yesturday I had won the battle against Solarpaw. Yet my heart was always misplaced. He was lossing at first, his eyes were softening, it seemed he wasn't going to fight me. So I of course beat him up and he snarled, and said, he would meet me again. My eyes narrowed as I saw his shadow against the horzion. It was moon-high. My eyes gripped the shadow and when I was right there, he looked at me with rage and meowed, "What do you want me to do!" His voice seemed in-raged and angry, and less cold than it should of been. I just looked away and made myself sit down. "Ha, I wonder what I can make you do. Eat mud, Eat a bug!" My laughter burned deep and cold. My eyes eyeing the apprentice in front of me. My black and white fur, and his ginger fur, were to didn't shadows standing in the dark. Are fur was bathed in moon-light.

I wrinkled my nose and licked my paws. His ears were pricked, my heart raced. "No, my clan mates are coming!" I yowled. My heart racing. Solarpaw, look at me and meowed. "Follow me mouse brain." He raced towards the twsited tree, and I followed. My apprenticeship was on the line if I was caught. Gripping the tree, I followed up the tree, my eyes locked on the branch, Solarpaw was on. I gripped the branches bottom, and as I dangled from the branch, I could see my life past before my eyes, as I felt my claws slipping from the twisted tree, that's when teeth were stuck deep into my neck fur, and yanked me up. The moon glittered down on us. "Thanks Solarpaw. But I didn't need help from a kit!" I snarled the sentence at him, but as she stared at him, alittle respect formed in her chest. She still hated the tom, yes, but she had to amit he did save her from falling. Edging around him, she sat on the side where she could see her border, threw the moon-light. Eyes wide she spotted her brother's dark gray pelt and blue eyes glancing at the border, Rowanfall's dark brown tabby fur shown silver in the moon-light. I gasped at there pelts, one so dark it seemed like the others shadow. "I think they are looking for you." Solarpaw meowed, from behind me. His eyes staring at the two other cats who had joined. "Don't you tell me you brought them, to see how stupid your gonna make me!" His hiss was alittle to loud, it made my brother and my clan's medicine cat pick there ears. "shhh! I don't want them to find me over here. All I'm gonna ask you to do, is catch a bird or two. Just for me a my brother, and maybe Rowanfall now." My eyes turned and raged at the tom, toms were so stupid.

I flicked my tail, my eyes clouded as I scented the air around me, three birds were located in the tree. My brother and the medicine cat had left, and I sighed, "Kill atleast one bird so I can get home!" My voice was cold and hard. I watched Solarpaw roll his eyes and climb up the tree, looking like a lob-sided stalk. Grinning I watching him kill a bird and bring it down. "That's it?! HA I would of mad you eat bird drug." Solarpaw said with a large smirk. His eyes grinning with hate and amusment. He thought I had let him off easy. Taking the bird I placed it between my paws. "Now, follow me." I said, climbing down the tree very slowly. His leapted about a couple tail lengths from the ground, which I wish I could of did just to show-off. As I reached the bottom of the tree, I spotted bird drung and grin. Solarpaw must of saw what I was looking at cause he snarled. "No way I'm doing that!" I grinned and meowed in a hard tone. "You made the bet yesturday, you lost, now suck it up and eat that bird drung!" Solarpaw groaned and bent down. I closed my eyes as I heard him chew, and than more in likely throw it back up. When I opened my eyes, I meowed. "Okay, go back to camp..." Leaning in I smiled his breath,. "You might want to eat something smelling pretty good. Night Mouse-brain." Minnowpaw turned and with her bird she raced back to her own camp. Leaving Solarpaw alone in the shadows of the tree.

Chapter Three
Solarpaw

I looked at Minnowpaw as she disappeared into the darkness on her territory, she had been right about my breath, it smelled bad, no thanks to that piece of foxdrung. I trotted away, not wanting to turn around and see her chasing mesaying she wanted me to do something else. I heard pawsteps and my heart quicken, my eyes rounded to be like moons, when I notice it was Graykit, the 5 moon old kit. I sighed and put on my darkest face and walked up to the nosey apprentice. We had, you could of said, talked alot as kits. "Solarpaw, who was that?!" Graykit asked, his eyes rounded. Myeyes narrowed to slits and I growled. "Go home Mouse-brain! I just caught that she-cat crossing our border." I watched Graykit growl and turn tails and run. My heart seemed to have a funny feeling. Yeah this kit, was my only friend back in my kit hood days. Maybe he would be tomorrow, since he would be an apprentice tomorrow. Grapping all the pride I had, I trotted quickly to him. "Graykit wait." My eyes clouded slightly. Graykit stopped, turned and meowed, darkly, "Yes Solarpaw?" His eyes narrowed at me. I knew dawn would be here soon, so I stepped closer and meowed. "Sorry, Graykit, I mean your like the only friend I have, so can you keep this a secret?" I asked. Graykit smiled turned and trotted away. I followed. "Of course Solarpaw! I can keep a secret, if next time you go and meet her, you take me with you. OH, what's her name?" He was gloating, and surpisingly noticing everything. I looked at him, and meowed, "Fine! Her name is Minnowpaw, and we made a bet yesturday okay!" I new at once that wasn't the way to speak to Graykit, cause he turned his head and snarled, "Solarpaw! You know better! going off to see another cat. Urge! You..."He just stopped. I was shocked. "That's not what it's like! I actually, was, well, hunting and a mouse went over the border and well we fought and I made a bet... and lost the fight." Graykit smirked, and I growled. "IT'S NOT FUNNY!" I yowled. But than, out of no-where, we both started laughting. As we entered camp, Graykit raced towards the nursery, curled up and slept, while I crawled towards the apprentice den. "Solarpaw where have you been!" A deep voice rumbled. I froze and turned around.

I looked at my leader, my mentor. My eyes narrowed. "I've been out looking for fresh-kill, but it seems to be in it's dens!" I said with my same snarl like always. I trotted up to my mentor and leader and met his eyes. He was warm hearted yes, but he always seemed to be alittle harder on me. I could feel his anger pushing off him in waves. I could see Graykit's little eyes glazing upon me. He stepped out of the den, only to be dragged back in by his mother Fadingsong. "Now Graykit stay out of it!" She whispered angerly. I glanced that way and this, and than I looked at Cloudstar again. "Solarpaw, you are not aloud out of camp until you tell me the truth!" He snarled and I looked him in the eye. "I am Cloudstar! I told you the truth and yet you call me a lier!" I glanced around him, Sorrelgaze was staring at me. Laughter in her eyes. "Stop Laughing you mouse-brain!" I snarled at her. She trotted up and looked at Cloudstar. "Oakfeather, I and Mistybrook are heading out for dawn protal. Would you like us to get back as fast as we can?" She asked, looking at the leader with large eyes. Cloudstar only nodded and looked away from me. I looked at Cloudstar softly and meowed. "I was near the SplashClan border, and a cat crossed it, I got into a fight again. I'm sorry Cloudstar." I said threw closed teeth, and hating eyes. Cloudstar nodded and meowed. "You will be training with Graykit when he is apprentice at Sun-high. You and his 'mentor' will be hunting near that border. NO MORE FIGHTS!" He snarled and stalked off to his den. I sighed and turned and curled up in the apprentice den. Graykit hurried in and looked at me. "Guess what!" I sighed, and turned towards him. "What?" I saw him look so bright that I almost died of boredom. Graykit smiled and yowled in happiness. "When I'm apprentice, me and you and my mentor are going hunting!" I growled and meowed. "Can you let me sleep than?!" Graykit looked puzzled. I could understand that, than he smiled, turned and walked away. "I'll wake yeah at Sunhigh." Closing my eyes, it felt like to seconds, than Graykit came in and yowled, "Wake up I'm going to be made an apprentice!" I growled climbed to my paws and sat at the edge of the crowd. I watched Graykit become Graypaw, and he touch noses with Mistybrook. Than we headed out towards SplashClan's territory.
